The Journey/ Under the Stars

Music has always been an integral part of my life, starting from a young age. Growing up, my dad was a member of a sound system in the 70s, playing reggae and soul. He would often play his music at home, and I would dance along to the rhythm. My youngest brother was also passionate about music and was a part of a hip-hop group. Meanwhile, my sister was a member of an all-girl sound system, which inspired me to pursue my own musical journey.

In the early to mid 80s, I started my journey by joining a sound system called Groovers Soul Power, where I played soul, funk, jazz, and rare groove music. It was a fantastic experience, and I was able to learn and grow as a musician.

In 1988, I joined my cousin's pirate radio station, Friends FM. It was a turning point in my musical journey as I started playing all genres of house music. I spent countless hours listening to different styles of house music, from deep and soulful house to funky house and drum and bass.

Today, I am the host of a weekly show on Friends FM called "The Journey." Every Saturday from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm BST, I play soulful funky house, and I have an added feature called "Under The Stars," where I play soulful drum and bass. It's a platform where I get to share my passion for music and showcase some of the best tracks in the genre.

Apart from hosting my show, I also spend a lot of time creating and curating mixes for my fans. You can find some of my mixes on Mixcloud, where I've been able to connect with a broader audience and share my love for music.

In conclusion, music has been an essential part of my life, and I feel grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. From playing in a sound system to hosting my own show, I've been able to grow and evolve as a musician, and I look forward to continuing this journey for years to come.
